What next???
Yesterday afternoon I was transfering nice fresh laundry from our new washer to our 18 year old drier and guess what? It broke. The motor or something. How come expensive things break in clusters?? It is nerve racking for me. Anyway after Chris pronounced it dead we hopped in the truck to purchase a new drier. We got it home and in the house. We have a 100 year old home that has narrow doorways. Chris knew he would have to take off the back bump-out panel of the drier to fit it though the door of the laundry room. It still would not fit. He had to cut half and inch off the vent pipe AND take the whole doorway apart, it was a huge deal. We finally got it in and he insisted on connecting the vent hose by himself after I offered to get behind the drier and hook it up (I fit back there, he definitely does not). I think being stubborn can at times look very silly ....
Incidentally, these two were no help at all.

The sweaters are out!
I freshened up my bulky winter sweaters and need to do the same for the winter jackets and ski/snowboard gear. We have not done the big rake yet as there are a bit more leaves that need to fall, then we will get it all done at once.
I need to paint a second coat on one of my little chairs this afternoon and get to the post office as well. I am not creating in the studio today because I am out of sheet and am awaiting a nice big silver order. I just realized I forgot to take out something for supper. I hate defrosting poultry in the microwave. I made Kung Pao (sp?) chicken last night but I don't think there is enough for everyone to have it tonight. This is a superbly boring post.
Here is something superbly UNBORING...
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I bought this today...
I added a very cute ring and earrings to my shop today. You can use any type of ribbon and just tie a bow. It's like having matching jewelry for every outfit and holiday. 6 inches of ribbon costs a few cents.
This stone is so pretty. It looks like a snowy forest. The price is pretty too :)

IMO
*I just figured out IMO means In My Opinion.
So anyway..... imo, I think that Rio's hand tools are better than Lindstom. Yeah, I said it.
I spent quite a bit on my Lindstoms (I think $50+ per tool) and never use them. I find that they are rough to use and gouge my silver.
I purchased Rio's brand ($24), they are German and they are wonderful to work with.
I will say that I love the Lindstom ergonomic flush cutters.
I have had them for quite awhile (years) and they are just as sharp and accurate as the first day I purchased them.
Also, here's a handy tip; you know the cloth pillowcase pouches that snap on top? Some brands of sheets and pillowcases are packaged in these instead of plastic. Instead of just throwing them away, I found they are the perfect size to protect bracelet mandrels.
Will is currently sitting behind me making fun of this entire post. He called me a "nube" in reference to the "imo" thing. He also make fun of everything else I have said. Teenagers should not be allowed to talk. or live.

It's enough to make me drool...
Horrible night time studio bench picture of some of the most beautiful Turquoise I have seen. This is all my supplier had so I bought it all. You know I had to :)
Something else that makes me drool, this is one of my favorite recipes and it's incredibly easy. And yes, there is a big bunch of kale in it and you cook it. Don't judge until you try it.....REALLY!
Something else that makes me drool, this is one of my favorite recipes and it's incredibly easy. And yes, there is a big bunch of kale in it and you cook it. Don't judge until you try it.....REALLY!
Ingredients
| 1 box uncooked rigatoni | |
| 1/8 tsp table salt, or to taste, for cooking pasta | |
| 2 lbs raw turkey sausage, sweet Italian variety | |
| 1 large bunch kale, roughly chopped into bite-sized pieces | |
| 2 cup(s) canned chicken broth | |
| 1/2 tsp black pepper | |
| 1/4 tsp table salt | |
| 1/2 cup(s) shredded parmesan cheese, Parmigiano-Reggiano recommende | |
Instructions
- Cook rigatoni in salted water according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, remove sausage from casing and cook in a large nonstick skillet
over medium heat, breaking up sausage as it cooks, about 3 minutes. Add kale;
cook, stirring frequently, until limp, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Add broth to skillet and scrape up browned bits on bottom of skillet with a
wooden spoon; season with salt and pepper. Cover skillet and reduce heat to low;
cook until kale is tender, about 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in rigatoni; heat
through.
- Sprinkle each serving with about 2 tablespoons of cheese before serving.

New Necklaces & Etsy Search Ad's
These were listing in my shop last evening....
http://www.etsy.com/listing/83662059/dioptase-azurite-malachite-chrysocolla
I may need to take another picture with the sun shining. These pictures do not pick up the dioptase in the malachite. All of the green you see sparkle like emeralds in the light. This stone is stunning.
http://www.etsy.com/listing/83664557/rutilated-quartz-sterling-silver-hash
Ha! As I was adding the link above I realized I typed "hatch mark" instead of "hash mark" in the title and description. It's fixed now :)
I am wondering how others on Etsy are liking the new Search Ad's. I have been running search ad's for a bit and the stats are extremely low. Like really low. For my shop, I don't think it's worth it at all. I get more views/favorites from relisting ONE item PER DAY than an entire 24 hours of running search ad's (at 32oo impressions per day). Twenty cents a day verses $6.45 a day. I am really dissappointed, I was excited to try something new. It looks like nothing beats relisting for my shop.
