Lesson in photography....
Sometimes you just need to do something different. This piece demanded a different background and indoor light to do it's justice. My trusty outdoor worn deck wood just was not working. It's funny, I was just telling Chris that I did not like warm backgrounds for my jewelry EVER.

These pictures are a bit of a bummer. I could not capture the flash in the opals as well as I would have liked and the silver branches are gloriously shiny! This piece took an entire day to fabricate. The links and settings were tumble polished for hours. It looks stunning on....really.

Lunch Break
This is what I am working on right now. The stones are boulder opals (this pic is on my bench and does not show the flash in the opals) they are gorgeous! I will have this necklace finished in a bit. It will be unique, lightweight, and not a fuss to wear.
I do need to make a few more branches ...
We are getting another snow storm beginning this evening. We have about 3 or more feet in our yard right now, it's been really great. I am thankful to have the temperature back in the positives the last day or so. Chris and I will thinking again about getting a young rottweiler from the Rottie Rescue. They make it pretty difficult to adopt a dog. I am sure they have very good reasons for all of the rules, contracts, and $400!?!?! I just wanted to give a homeless dog a home, that's all. It's a bit of a let down.

Taz died ...
On New Years morning at 5:30 am Taz had a sudden heart attack or stroke. She was healthy and only 8 years old. We brought her to the emergency vet clinic in Concord and she became a bit more alert but she seemed like she had some brain damage, she did not respond to her name. After examining her and doing some tests we learned the was not any hope of her recovering so we had her put to sleep. She died in our arms.
I did not tell you earlier because I couldn't handle it. It is very hard to write about, even with what little details I gave. LuLu has had my mother in law's dog to play with until yesterday. I brought them to the airport and they are safely home in Myrtle Beach. LuLu lost her "sissy". I expect her to be a bit lost for awhile. We have been planning on getting a Rottweiler puppy soon so Taz could train it like she trained LuLu. We thought we has plenty of time. It just goes to show, you never know what is going to happen. We are still planning on getting another Rottweiler in awhile, they are expensive. We thought about getting a rescue dog, but it is too risky with LuLu because she is tiny, so a puppy it is ..... someday.

PRAYER NEEDED!
Hi everyone, I just received the following email from a good friend.....
Hi friends,
We have a local friend that has been fostering brother/sister twins since July. The twins are now 2 1/2. The boy, Matthew is in the hospital in Dartmouth as a tumor was found growing on his brain stem.........if there is blood flowing to the tumor they cannot remove it and he is too young for chemo..................These little ones have been through so much already..........Could you please say a prayer for Matthew and his family. The exploratory surgery has been confirmed for tommorrow.
Thank God the boy was in care and the foster family was alert to changes in him..........
