It's been a great weekend!

Thanksgiving was a good day. I am thankful for my very patient husband who put himself in an uncomfortable situation on Thanksgiving for me, his wife. I am very grateful.

Black Friday was so much fun. I do not normally shop that day, but I decided to go shopping with Ma. She told me to be at her house at 3:15 am!!! I set my alarm for 1:45am (I live 40 minutes from her house). It was wonderful, I figured I saved about $200. Ma and I have a date to do it again next year. When we were finished we called my father and he met us at a restaurant for a nice big breakfast.

Saturday is family day at the Phoenix House (treatment center where Danny is living). We start out at 10:30am with Parents group. It is just all of the parents in a group therapy setting for about 1.5 hours. Then we have a pot luck lunch with parents, kids, siblings, and staff. At 1pm we have another group for 2 hours with all of the kids, parents, and older siblings (Will attends this as well). From 3-4:45pm is free time. Danny and Will play basketball or we play cards. It's really nice getting to know the other parents and teens. I left on Saturday evening feeling positive and grateful. Thanks so much for all of your emails, convo's, and prayers for Danny and our little family. IT IS WORKING!

In business news, the 3'fer Thanksgiving weekend sale was sort of lame. Not all sales are a big hit, it's okay. I am going back to the BUY 2 GET 1 FREE sale for CYBER MONDAY. That day has historically been just like any other day in my shop.

I just dropped my son off at treatment

I have not talked about this at all here but I feel like I want to now. Danny has been getting into much trouble over the past year and he was court ordered to treatment for drugs. He was first placed 2 1/2 weeks ago at a shelter while waiting for an interview and acceptance to a treatment facility nearby that Chris and I wanted him to go to. He was accepted and I picked him up at the shelter and brought him to the Phoenix House this afternoon, I just got home a bit ago. He will be there 4-6 months. It is only 30 minutes away and 7 minutes away from church. They are very family oriented and we have family days on Saturdays. If you will pray for my sweet boy, Chris, Will, and I we would really appreciate it. I know we will all get through this and come out stronger for it, but it is hard. I am a mom and I want my boy home.

So, why the picture?

Well, I am happy that my bangs have grown out to go behind my ears. Gotta be thankful for the little things :)

I was just taking a look at the new stones this morning after my workout and thought I could share a few more that I absolutely love.

I started another round Insanity yesterday. I just love having my but thoroughly kicked first thing in the morning. Shawn T is merciless as usual. I gotta admit, I missed him while doing P90X. I am sure I will be crying for Tony in a couple of weeks.

The sweat has dried and I have a mouth full of cereal...

I lost my watch in Florida. One of the pins must have fallen out. I am amazed that I did not feel it falling off of me. I wear it always and for the past 12 years. We looked everywhere. I can not replace it, it was too expensive. I have been wanting a cool rubbery watch for awhile now and I found one. I remember when Swatch watches were incredibly popular, I was in 8th grade and EVERYONE HAD to have one. I had one then and I have one now!

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude.......

I met with my stone supplier on Sunday. HE IS AWESOME. I have in my possession a vast selection of incredibly unique stones and pairs. I am beyond excited!!! He really out did himself.

He is the Mexican Jelly Opal king in my book. I think this is Chris' favorite stone of all time.

The 2 larger opals are huge as far as jelly opals go. They cost a zillion dollars, but I didn't care

I have quite a few customers that fell in love with the treated "pink" Chinese turquoise stones I have previously made into the "Pinky Tuscadaro" rings. I can't remember who all of you are so this is what I currently have....

Many of the new stones, I have never hear of. New (to me) jaspers that will quite literally (well, not "literally") knock your socks off. I am not showing anymore "naked" stones here on the blog, but if you are interested in viewing some of the new pieces for a custom order, you know where to find me :)

Oh yeah, I am home from vacation. I am black (yes, I used sunscreen. The weather was just THAT beautiful and sunny). I missed my family and am glad to be home. I feel like there is so much to tell you, but I need to get back to the bench so that I may be able to set some of my new stones this week.

It is gorgeous here!

The weather has been really spectacular. I finally finished reading "Mere Christianity" (CS Lewis) and am a couple hundred pages into "Girl With The Dragon Tattoo". My parents highly recommend reading the series, so I shall. We went to the Everglades yesterday and took a fan boat tour. It was really cool. In all we saw a manatee, a few alligators, exotic birds, and 2 wild black bull. The fan boat captain liked going very fast and did all of these fun spins with the boat. Poor Ma was holding onto my 80 pound grandmother for dear life!

I need to leave for Alpha in a few minutes. We had our Alpha weekend last weekend and it was very special. I am starting to feel a deep bond with some of the women in my church and I am so excited about it! This is a first for me. I feel myself want to be with them and learn and grow together. Man, I hope I NEVER stop changing.
