Mother's Day Sale & The grim reaper is a knockin'

I feel like death. Well, not really...... but close. I am somewhat dramatic when i am sick. I am one of those people who claims not to be a complainer and when i refer to myself I act as if I am tough, but I'm not. I am a whiny baby who wants to feel better NOW! I woke up with my nose stuck to my pillow. I am going to force myself (tough, ha) to take a shower and try and put together some kind of a day. I'll just go until I give out (see, there it is again). I actually do mean it. I put together a decent day yesterday and collapsed at 5:30pm. I do feel much worse today, but I can't bear to lay on the couch all day. If I could focus on a book perhaps I could, but I can't. Another day of daytime TV will surely do me in.
Ya know what really sucks? My Insanity workout is pushed back one week. Hopefully I will be in top shape by Monday so I can resume my workout schedule. I'll tell you, I feel like I can run 20 miles uphill after doing that workout. Chris claims we probably could!
Oh, guess what?!?!?! A certain FAMOUS person (has a current show on TV) purchased a ring from me. I could not believe it!! It most certainly is her! I was so excited! I still am. Is it cool to say who it is?? I'm not sure. So I won't ...... for now. Little ole me. Who woulda thought :)
Okay, I'm outta here. I need to soak my booger infested head in a hot shower.

back to work......

I still feel like poo. I did shower, eat breakfast, and popped an Advil cold and sinus. I MUST get a few orders completed today. I allow myself 3-5 business days to complete and ship ever order and I do not like to extend that if I can help it.

These are on my bench very patiently awaiting their settings...

I can only work until about 1:45 today. Danny has an appointment. I hope I get a lot done and the solder flows smoothly. I gotta go.

Day 2

I have a nasty cold. Today is Day 2. I was going to take a candid pic of myself right now and decided it was way too hideous. I-look-horrid. Chris is out getting me some medicine and sorbet. I hope to be "back" very soon. I am watching morning TV. I NEVER watch morning TV. I never realized how gorgeous Ellen Degeneres is. Wow! It seems that her blond is blonder and her blue eyes are "bluer".

Here is LuLu looking at me wondering why I am in the living room and not working in the studio...

I'm gonna go. I feel like poo.

Where do you shop?

As I was spraying myself with this

this morning, as I ALWAYS do after my shower, I was thinking of the few "staple" shops I purchase from on Etsy. I think they deserved a big shout out from me.

First, Michelle at http://www.flameworks.etsy.com/ is responsible for my family now and forever being "soap snobs". I began shopping with her in December 2007. My husband will not tolerate using anything but her "silver mountain water" scented vegan deodorant. Now Chris is a hard working carpenter. This stuff works!!! I purchased the "brown sugar fig" body spray just a few weeks ago. Let me tell you something ladies...... if your man likes sweets, he will be ALL OVER YOU! Chris tells me that I smell incredible. Like a yummy cake. I don't wear this spray on days I "have a headache"....... ahem.

I have burned incense since I was about 18 years old. I love good hand dipped sticks. I had a supplier on Etsy for a long time, but she closed her shop to my disappointment. I found another wonderful shop that I have been buying from ever since. http://www.starshinecompany.etsy.com/

She has wonderful flavors and the sticks ALWAYS burn all the way down. The service is terrific too!

I use pearls on a regular basis. I don't go for the very expensive ones so I can keep my prices down. I purchase off round fresh water pearls with wonderful nacre from http://www.ashleyspearl.etsy.com/

super affordable, prompt service, and an excellent product!!

I am so thankful for these shops. They make my life easier :)

NEW MAKE AN OFFER SECTION!

I thought my "clearance" section was getting "tired" and thought a "MAKE AN OFFER" section would be terrific to find homes for jewelry that has worn out it's welcome in my shop.

It is very simple! Just convo me your offer on Etsy. Once a price has been agreed upon, make your purchase as usual, but do not pay. I will send a revised PayPal invoice to your email.

To view all of the jewelry currently in this section, please go here......

I need to get going. Grocery shopping with Chris awaits!
A sample of what is currently in the MAKE AN OFFER section.....

*edit*

There was a concern that making an offer on listed items was against Etsy's policies. I have studied the "do's and dont's" and "terms of use" and came up with nothing. I emailed Etsy Admin. just to be sure I was not breaking any rules.

Back to the ER.......

This room at Monadnock Community Hospital - Emergency Room - should have a sign that says "Hendrick Family". I have been in this room more times in the past 3 years than I'll admit. Every member of my family is extremely active; therefore, we get hurt..........a lot.

Yesterday late morning Will called us on Chris' cell and said, "Danny may have broken his foot". So we turned around and headed back to the skate park and there was Dan, sprawled out on top of the pyramid in incredible pain. We got him in the truck and headed for the ER. My poor baby was so nauseated. At one point he could not see clearly. We were sure it was broken.

Here is "our" room.....

*sorry for the bad quality, my blackberry takes horrid pictures

Here is Chris taking a picture of me taking a picture of him.....

So, my Etsy orders are 1 day behind. I was meant to ship yesterday, but I did today due to being detained at the hospital.

In other news.......

Here is the rose quartz bramble ring. I ADORE it. I am very into pink right now.

http://www.etsy.com/listing/45207375/bramble-ring-rose-quartz

Speaking of Etsy, wow there has been changes to the site! It was so sudden. Well, I never go to the forums or read the Storque, so I probably would have been made aware of the changes if I bothered to stay in tune with the site. I do love Etsy as a selling venue, but I don't really care for the community or feel. I better shut up because it will all come out wrong and you folks can't hear my tone of voice or see my facial gestures so I am probably coming off like I am anti-Etsy and I am not. I sell a bunch and buy a bunch :)

Chris is not working today so guess what he is doing?!?!?! He is building me a maple entertainment center. I can get rid of that old trunk I currently use. It just feels so "college apartment, no taste what so ever" otherwise, our living room is very cute!

I am going to go out to the garage and see if I can get a picture of Chris.

I better get going, I have a bench full of oxidized jewelry to buff and get into the tumbler, then make super!

God bless.

Sunday evening.... where did the time go?

We had our Alpha "weekend away" Friday and Saturday night. It - was - awesome. Wonderful fellowship, learning, listening, discussions, crying, eating, laughing, praying, playing, loving, and guess what???? God showed up :')

I completed my first week of "Insanity" http://www.beachbody.com/Insanity Oh, dude. WOW. I did very well, but it is the HARDEST thing I have ever done. Chris is doing it as well. I did not think he was going to because he has questionable joints. They warn you that if your have ANY joint, back, knee problems not to do Insanity. Chris is just taking it day by day.

This week is April school vacation so the house will be a little busy. I loaded up on groceries since I will have my 2 teenage boys and many of their friends in and out all week. Teenage boys eat an incredible amount of food. Danny's friend is also staying with us for all of the vacation.

I made a new ring last week, but just posted it in my shop. I came across this sweet sculpted blue turquoise stone and can get many more. I wanted to see if I could make something work with it, and I just love the way it came out! The band is really rustic and pretty as well.

I will be making bramble rings in rose quartz and amethyst this week as well.

The dryer just buzzed, so I need to get the sheets out and make the beds.

God bless you all.

I'll sell it for a song!

I created an absolutely beautiful setting the other day. I have made settings like this before, but it has been awhile. As I was setting the stone, the bottom of the bezel crinkled a bit from too much force, then I proceeded to gauge the stone a few times. What a let down. It is still a really beautiful ring and I don't want to scrap it and it is too large for me to wear. So, do you want it? The price would have been $180. Convo me your offers on Etsy. I'll consider anything reasonable. This is a very unique instance and will probably not be repeated. I just CAN'T bear to scrap it.

They may know more than you think.......

Your children that is! I have an embarrassing story to tell...........

I was driving Danny & Daryl (his best friend) to teen bible study and on the way our discussion went like this.........

me: "So, did you have a good day at school today"?

danny: "yeah"

me: "Oh, I meant to ask you earlier; why did you sleep on the couch last night? You are not meant to do that Danny, you are to sleep in your bed."

danny: "WHY DO YOU THINK MA?"

me: (completely clueless) "I have no idea!"

danny: (very quiet voice) "I'm not gonna say it with Daryl in the van"

*I look in the review mirror and see that Daryl is listening to his Ipod*

me: "Danny, tell me...."

danny: "I HAD to go downstairs! I couldn't sleep with all the noise you were making. My friggin' TV was shaking at one point"

me: (mortified) "Oh................ gosh.................. Oh, honey.......... I am really sorry"

danny: "I say that you and dad should not be allowed to do THAT when will and I are in the house ANYMORE" "It upsets Will too ya know".......... "We know what is going on every time we hear your door lock at night"

me: "I am so sorry. We will be much more discrete. I had no idea honey."

danny: "No, just stop doing it altogether when we are in the house"

me: "I'm sorry"

danny: "So are you going to not do it anymore when we are home?"

me: "No, you just won't know about it"

danny: (sigh)

I told Chris about the discussion later that night. He was not nearly as concerned as I was. All he said was, "That's what happens when you have thin walls".

PS

This is now in the shop.....

One Solitary Life

This was emailed to me the other day.

It won't kill you to take a couple of minutes to watch it.

One Solitary Life was written by James Francis in 1926. In 248 words he captured the essence of how the life of Christ has made a powerful difference for over 2,000 years.

Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!!!!!

An Easter Prayer sent from Reverend Dan Osgood

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving us so much that You sent Your only Son, Jesus, to become one of us, to suffer for us, to die for us, and to rise from the dead, to give us new life.

As we celebrate Easter this year, may we reflect on the unending depth of Your love. Help us to share this precious gift with our families, friends, and all those who have yet to learn of the good news of Christ.

May the beauty and new life of Spring be a reminder of our new life in Christ. Help us to share Your love with all those we encounter in our daily walk, as we continually strive to serve You in spirit, deed, and truth.

Be with us, dear God, and remain in our hearts always and forever.

May we find hope in the Cross this day, hope because Jesus is Risen!

Amen. Hallelujah!

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world
that we might live through him.
- 1 John 4:9

The last of the snow is gone! I saw these out of the corner of my eye near the woods in my yard today.....

It is unseasonably warm today and it is meant to be 80 degrees tomorrow! Holy cow. I will be working in the studio most of the day tomorrow, I had better get my fan!

My very favorite day of the year is Easter Sunday. Basically, it is the reason for ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING I live for.
